QSCAN is the "big brother” of WaneSCAN, the 3D wane scanner by MiCROTEC. While WaneSCAN gives a realistic, 3-dimensional full profile of the board with its wanes, QSCAN recognizes quality features and defects that degrade the value of the product.

Also at high conveyor speeds, QSCAN recognizes all knots, their position as well as splits and dimensional irregularities; when combined with an additional, monochromatic light source it is also able to recognize stain and resin pockets.
